Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last Updated: August 19, 2026 | Version 1.0

ClassLecture.ai respects intellectual-property rights. The Service is a private, user-directed study workspace. Users may upload course materials only when they own those materials or have other legal authorization to store and process them for personal study. ClassLecture.ai does not operate as a public textbook or lecture repository and does not grant users permission to copy copyrighted works.

2. DMCA Takedown Notices

Copyright holders may submit a takedown request if they believe material on ClassLecture.ai infringes their copyright. After we receive a complete notice, we may disable or remove the allegedly infringing material while we review the request. Submitting a notice is not a finding that infringement occurred.

Use the copyright complaint form when possible. Prefer a ClassLecture.ai content identifier (document, upload, or lecture ID) over an internal storage URL.

3. Required information in a DMCA notice

A complete notice should include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it
  • Your name, email address, and a telephone number if available
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

4. Counter-Notifications

If you uploaded material that was disabled and you believe the disablement was a mistake or that you are authorized to use the material, you may submit a counter-notification where legally appropriate. A counter-notification should identify the material, include your contact information, include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was disabled by mistake or misidentification, and include your electronic signature.

Signed-in users can start a counter-notification at /copyright/counter-notice.

5. Repeat Infringers

ClassLecture.ai maintains a repeat-infringer policy. We may record confirmed copyright violations and, in appropriate circumstances, restrict or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe. An allegation alone is not treated as a confirmed violation.
