- No invented information. Only what the lecture (or your handout) actually says.
- No multi-part cards unless the concept genuinely requires it.
- Use your slides and notes too. If you have the deck or a PDF handout, draft alongside the transcript — it usually produces better cards than speech alone.
A good rule of thumb: if the lecturer spent four minutes on a concept with three examples, you might only need one definition card, one cause-and-effect card, one comparison card, and maybe one example card.
